Habitat: Occurs in reservoirs and pools of streams. Prefers cool water. Tolerates wide range of turbidity. In streams, prefer deep pools with boulders and logs scattered on bottom. Spawn on riffles or rocky wave-swept shores.

Remember to bring a container filled with pond water. Do not use city water, as chlorine will kill the fish.
